segmented reservoir: ‘ControlvoirΤ ‘
This is a low volume reservoir for use with various automated liquid handlers and manual laboratory use. This reservoir uses 2 barriers to divide columns 1 and 12 from the remainder of the reservoir volume in columns 2-11 when used with a 96 well head pipetter. The 2 barriers to divide columns 1&2 and 23&24 from the remainder of the reservoir volume in columns 3-22 when used with a 384 well head pipetter. When sealed, tip touching can be performed. It is Multimek position 5 friendly.

Automated Use:
Define the reservoir using the respective software utilities for your Liquid handler. To do this refer to the following dimensions. *Tip: the well access locations , Length and width dimensions are the same as a standard 96 well microplate.

Dimensions:

  1. Height: ……….. 25.45 mm
  2. Max trough Depth:……….. 21.00mm
  3. X wide: ……………………... 127.22mm
  4. Y narrow: ………………….. 85.26mm
  5. 1st row to -X edge: …………… 14.25mm (96well plate locations)
  6. 1st -Y edge: …………….11.32mm

Specifications:

Material: ……………………. PolyPropylene

Channels……………………. 3 sections

Controls capacity………….. 16 ml per control section

Minimum wetting………….. 25ul per control section

Reservoir capacity………….. 16 ml per reservoir section

Minimum wetting………….. 1mL per reservoir section

Operation:
For the best operational performance, the reservoir base must remain as flat and level as possible. Foil and wax seals can be utilized to reduce evaporation and permit some form of tip touching.

Clean-up Chemical Sterilization is recommended: Use of most commonly available disinfectants can be used. Avoid prolonged exposure to the more aggressive disinfectants to avoid any surface cracking. Autoclaving( not recommended due to the thin walls): Rinse clean in DI water prior to periods of autoclaving. 100° C / 15 psi. Cycle length of 15 minutes initial duration. The cycle period varies according to the type of chemical / material exposure. Proper periods can only be determined with experience. All plastic components have a limited lifetime.
