Filling Stationδ Standard and UV Sensitive versions

This is an Auto-refilling, low volume reservoir for use with various automated liquid handlers and manual laboratory use. Use this reservoir to maintain a constant level from a 500-mL resource vessel for extended assay operations.
A 96-channel lid is also included to minimize evaporation and to allow for tip touching in the 96-channel format.

Automated Use:
Define the reservoir dimensions using the respective software utilities for your Liquid handler.

To do this refer to the following dimensions. *Tip: the well access locations, Length and width dimensions are the same as a standard 96/384 well microplate respectively.

Dimensions:

  1. Minivoir96 Height: ……….. 19 mm
  2. Max trough Depth:……….. 16.75mm (24.75mm lid on)
  3. Lid on Height:……………... 26mm
  4. Lid well Diameter: ………... 6.5mm
  5. Max Tip-Touch Depth: …… 9.5mm (64-100% of total height)
  6. X wide: ……………………... 127.6mm
  7. Y narrow: ………………….. 85.8mm
  8. A1 to -X edge: …………… 14.25mm (96well flat locations)
  9. A1 to -Y edge: ……………. 11.32mm

Specifications:

Refill rate, Adjustable..…… 1000uL to 10mL / Minute

Material: reservoir…………. Polypropylene

Material: Tubing……………. TygonΤ

Material: Bottle..…………… Polyethylene

Peristaltic Pump…………… CSA, CE, UL 12vdc with 115VAC supply

Installation:
For the best operational performance, the reservoir base must remain as flat and level as possible.
The fill tubing ID is always to be the smaller, thus the drain tubing is always to be the Larger ID.
The drain tubing can be pumped back to the fill bottle or a separate waste bottle.

The small-bore tubing must be coaxed onto the barb. Patience please. The bottle openings are sized for the tubing. The > symbol is for the larger tubing. Minimize the tubing length to reduce the dead volume.

Operation:
Fill the resource bottle with reagent. Make sure the overflow prote3ction bottle is connected and Insert the tubing. Route the tubing to avoid sharp bends. Be certain that the fill tubing is the smaller tube and that the direction of rotation is appropriate (clockwise is typical but dependent on the tube routing). Plug the power supply into the wall outlet. ( green LED should be on). Select the rotation button desired. The pump should run if it is out of a strong IR light source. (Incandescent lamp). Depress and hold the MAX button on the controller to accelerate priming of the reservoir. Once the surface has been wetted then install the EvaprCapΤ . It is safe to proceed when the reservoir has enough initial capacity for you assay or has stopped at the sensor level.

Reservoir Clean-up

  1. Chemical Sterilization: Use of most commonly available disinfectants can be used. Avoid prolonged exposure to the more aggressive disinfectants to avoid any surface cracking.
  2. Autoclaving: Rinse clean in DI water prior to periods of autoclaving.

Do not autoclave polypropylene LID

Remove Sensor and port fittings before procedure.
121° C / 15 psi. Cycle length of 15 minutes initial duration to condition the reservoir.

The cycle period varies according to the type of chemical / material exposure.

Proper periods can only be determined with experience.
